19th CENTURY ENGLAND: RUDOLF DIESEL

Rudolf Diesel is known for the invention of the highly efficient and powerful Diesel engine which disrupted the oil oligarchs and required modifications in oil refining infrastructure and processing. Using Diesel engines on naval vessels allowed ships to traverse greater distances and at faster speeds than existing steam engines thereby influencing ship design and naval strategy. For this project a Virtual Heritage environment of Victorian-era London was designed and programmed with a Rudolf Diesel AI-enhanced avatar who can respond to spoken questions specifically assisting human participants in their search for information related to the late 19th century.
