AI Literacy is defined as “the collection of skills and knowledge that a person needs to understand, use, and critically evaluate artificial intelligence” (aiEDU, 2023).

The AI Literacy project prepares students for a future where AI plays a significant role, subsequently fostering informed awareness and responsible use of AI technologies. Through internationally focused AI Literacy workshops students and their teachers will be provided with opportunities to discuss and learn about the integration of AI across multiple academic disciplines (i.e., Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths), various subjects (e.g., history, geography, languages) and unique contexts (e.g., elderly care, robotics, non-player characters in Virtual Reality).

A constructivist pedagogy will be utilized for developing  AI Literacy whereupon participants will be provided with AI Snapshots to interpret and discuss. Started by aiEDU, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the USA, AI Snapshots are activities that encourage participants to define, identify, and think critically about Artificial Intelligence such as Large Language Models, Reinforcement Learning, Predictive Analytics, and ethical considerations, within specific disciplinary and generalized topics.
